With more than three decades of practice, Architect Sanjay Puri is someone who doesn’t rest on his laurels as he continues to seek innovation through his climate-sensitive and innovative design approach. Energy Efficient Marvels
“The orientation allows indirect light to enter all interior spaces throughout the day, making the building energy-efficient,” he adds. His other energy efficient projects include the low-cost school in Rajasthan designed with sheltered open spaces, natural ventilation and natural light and The Aria Hotel, Nashik, an energy efficient structure, with 50 per cent of the hotel naturally ventilated to minimize the carbon footprint.
According to him, every design action that limits energy consumption serves to reduce the environmental impact of the construction itself. This best explains the shape of the building with its longest sides facing north, with angled louvers on the other façades, also facing north.
With more than three decades of practice, Architect Sanjay Puri is someone who doesn’t rest on his laurels as he continues to seek innovation through his climate-sensitive and innovative design approach.
