Named the Pebble, this timber-clad workstation has undergone a transformation into a futuristic and aesthetically pleasing structure. Originally wood-clad, the Pebble is now undergoing customization by Hello Wood for a fiber optic company.
To achieve this contemporary and visually stunning appearance, the firm has chosen to envelop the pod in aluminum composite panels, employing cutting-edge technologies in the process. These reimagined pods serve versatile purposes, functioning as office rooms, meeting spaces, and creative hubs. The overarching aim is to cultivate innovative environments that inspire clients throughout their workday. Hungary-based architectural and design firm, Hello Wood, originated as a summer camp in 2010, catering to students with a passion for architecture and design. Evolving over the years, the firm transitioned from producing cabins and public installations to crafting a detached prefab workstation in 2020, a development that proved particularly timely during the pandemic. According to Ráday, there was a pre-existing need for more separate meeting spaces, but the pandemic spurred a rapid increase in demand for isolated work environments. Upon entering the pod, occupants are greeted by air-conditioned interiors equipped with advanced features, including motorized mounts for monitors, LED lighting, and digital boards.
The design incorporates a glazed entryway, a skylight, and two windows, creating an open and spacious ambiance filled with natural light throughout the day. The extent of glass used within the pod can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of the user, offering a customizable and adaptable workspace.
